Welcome to the World, Ellery | Greer Family Newborn Session

There are some families who feel less like clients and more like old friends, and the Greers are definitely one of those families for me.

I've been photographing Devon and Drew's family for so many years now that it is honestly hard to believe how much their family has grown. I first started taking pictures of their oldest two when they were toddlers, and since then I've had the joy of photographing so many seasons and milestones for this sweet family. We've done mini sessions, family sessions, and even a newborn session before—and now I was back in their home to meet their fourth daughter, Ellery.

And let me tell you... she is precious.

Ellery is the newest little sister to Finley, Arden and Freya, and those girls were completely smitten with her. There is something so sweet about watching older siblings love on a new baby, and these three were more than happy to cuddle, hold, kiss and admire their newest sister.

One of my favorite things about photographing the Greer girls is that they are always SO into whatever I come up with. Whether it's a pose, a silly prompt or one of the little games I use to get genuine smiles, they are always ready to play along. It makes my job incredibly easy—and honestly, a whole lot of fun.

And that's really how my time with this family always feels. Fun.

Devon and Drew are so easy to chat with, their girls are wonderful, and they have always made me feel completely at home in their family. Getting to walk into their home again and photograph this newest chapter felt like such a gift.

There is something really special about getting to photograph a family over and over again. I get to see toddlers turn into big kids, big kids become big sisters, and families grow in ways that I only get to witness through my camera.

And now there is Ellery.

Another little girl to add to this beautiful family. Another season to remember. Another tiny face that will someday look back at these photographs and see just how very loved she was from the beginning.

I am so thankful the Greers have trusted me to capture so many of these memories over the years. It truly is an honor to be invited back again and again—and even more special to get to meet the newest little person God has added to their family.
