Getting to photograph families is always a gift—but photographing my own family? That’s something truly special.

The Littmanns recently joined me for a golden hour Mini Session in Forest Park, and I loved every minute of it. Jenny and Tim are proud parents to two beautiful girls, Amelia and Anne. Jenny also happens to be my cousin—but more than that, she’s my closest cousin, and her girls feel like cousins to my own kids. Being with them always feels like home.

We met in early spring, when the trees were just beginning to bud and the first bits of green were waking up across the park. The light was absolute magic—warm, golden, and spilling through the trees just right. We spent most of our time in an open field where tall rush plants glowed in the sunset, creating a dreamy backdrop for this sweet family.

It was such a joy to have this time with just the four of them—no distractions, no big family gatherings—just a quiet evening soaking in how much Amelia and Anne have grown. It’s wild how fast time moves, and capturing these in-between seasons of life is one of my favorite things about what I do.

Jenny and Tim, thank you for letting me freeze this moment in time. Your girls are growing into such lovely humans, and it was an honor to witness your love and joy up close.

Love you always.
