There is something about a warm fall evening, beautiful golden light, and a family who is always up for having fun that makes for the sweetest session!

I met up with Courtney and Luke Sudkamp and their boys, Miles and Simon, at Tower Grove Park for a Fall Mini Session, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening. The weather was warm, the golden hour light was absolutely perfect, and you could just start to see those golden hues of fall beginning to peek through the trees. It's one of my favorite times of year to photograph families!

I've had the joy of photographing the Sudkamps a couple of times before, and it's always such a treat to see them again. Courtney and Luke are so kind and easygoing, which makes our time together feel effortless. And their boys? Just the sweetest! Miles and Simon were completely on board with all my little prompts and games to get them smiling, which always makes my job so much fun.

And can we talk about how well this family dresses?! They always show up looking so good! I love when families put thought into what they wear for pictures, and the Sudkamps never disappoint.

One of my favorite things about photographing families is getting to see them again and again as their kids grow and change. Each session captures a tiny piece of their story, and I love that these photographs will become reminders of what life looked like in this season.

I'm so thankful the Sudkamps continue to trust me to capture these memories for them. It was such a joy to spend a beautiful fall evening with their family, and I'm already looking forward to the next time I get them in front of my camera!
