Some sessions are so full of joy that you can’t help but smile the entire time—and that’s exactly how it felt photographing this adorable family of four! We met at Tower Grove Park during golden hour, and the first hints of fall were starting to appear. The soft golden hues mixed with the vibrant greenery made for a picture-perfect backdrop.

This session was extra special because the family are friends from our school community, which made it feel even more like catching up with old friends than “work.” Their two little ones, Xavier, a lively first-grader, and Gabi, their sweet 3-year-old, brought so much personality and fun to every moment.

Xavier’s energy and curiosity kept the session lively—he was ready to explore, laugh, and strike a pose with the biggest grin. And Gabi? She was simply adorable, with those big, curious eyes and the sweetest little giggles. Watching them interact with each other and their parents was heartwarming and gave us so many genuine, candid moments.

I don’t think I stopped smiling once—my cheeks were actually sore by the end of the session! Capturing the love and connection between this family, with Tower Grove Park’s golden light as our backdrop, was an absolute joy.
