A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Katie and George for my Fall Mini Sessions at Forest Park, and it was such a beautiful day. The weather this October has been a bit unpredictable—still warm and sunny, even when we’re all craving that crisp fall air—but the light was absolutely perfect for photos.

I used to go to church with Katie and George, so it was really lovely to see them again and catch up a bit while photographing their sweet family. Their daughter, Elliot, is such a beauty—so gentle and full of sweetness. I loved watching how they love on her; it shines through in every image.

Katie and George are always so easygoing, which makes their sessions a joy from start to finish. They laugh easily, go with the flow, and just enjoy being together—and that always translates into such heartfelt photos.

I’m so glad we were able to reconnect and capture this season for their family. Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do—freezing these fleeting, love-filled moments before they pass all too quickly.
